BUILD IT TWICE
(BIT) introduces the ownerof any type of building projectto
the strangers who will design and construct his or her project, and to the interactions
they must all undertake for it to be successful. Its also a journey through what can
happen when those interactions arent effective or timely, or dont promote an
environment of mutual respect. BIT describes
how other strangers from the construction claims cottage industry can
exploit and abuse an owners budget. And it explores the competence of attorneys,
arbitrators, mediators and the courts to resolve, or even to recognize these abuses.
It exposes the hollow promises behind the construction
industrys standard contracts, buzzwords, games and "panaceas."
And BIT describes a Project Plan through which every
ownerprivate or public, individual or organizationcan, with no
technical experience or background, enhance the prospects for realizing a successful
building project.
